E komo mai (welcome) to
LOMIFLOW

Lomiflow is a wellness practice in Sunshine West, on Wurundjeri land in Naarm/Melbourne, based in the home of Lomi-giver Lizzie Doyle. All bodyminds are warmly welcome here. Please get in touch if you have any access requirements or barriers to attending or receiving Lomilomi.
Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi draws on ancient practices to encourage deep surrender, allowing the body’s natural healing processes to unfold. It offers many physiological benefits—circulatory, musculoskeletal, and neurological—while also incorporating deep energetic work.
You will be held in a safe, grounded space of Aloha, which translates as unconditional love, and also as living love through each breath of life.
Some people come to reconnect with their bodies through self-love; some come to engage in somatic work around held trauma in a safe, supportive space, or to gently unblock emotion; and others come simply to surrender deeply, stepping away from anxious thoughts, busy minds, and the stresses of modern life.
A session with Lizzie centres on whatever you wish to bring into the light, or gently release. They hold a deep, reverent space and work without judgement, offering attentive listening, an open heart, and a genuine respect for the ancient and sacred traditions of Spiritual Hawaiian Lomilomi.
Whether you are seeking a relaxing, nurturing massage to release tension and stress, or a deeper, more transformative experience with clear intentions, Lizzie warmly welcomes you to arrive as you are, soften, and reconnect with your miraculous self—supporting meaningful healing and growth.

What will happen?

It can be helpful to set an intention for your session. Is there something you’re holding on to that you would like to shift, or something you wish to invite in? There will be time before the Lomi begins to talk through what is present for you in your life, and to gently shape the experience with an intention.
The Lomi uses long, flowing strokes across and beneath the body, including the head, chest, glutes, and abdomen but excluding genitals and nipples.
You will be unclothed, with the groin area always respectfully and securely covered using an expertly draped sarong. Gentle stretches are offered throughout, adapted to your individual range of movement. Pule (a non-religious prayer) will be incorporated to support the intention of the session, alongside deeply relaxing music. The Lomi room is warmly heated to support comfort and ease.
All expression during a session is welcome. Different energies may move through the body—this is a beneficial and meaningful part of the work. Lizzie will gently support whatever arises, continuing to hold a steady, attentive space while listening closely and responding to your experience.
Some people drop into a very deep space, which is held with great care, and they will be gently guided back as the session comes to a close. Some people fall asleep. Some laugh, cry, or yawn. Whatever arises is welcome here. These shifts—both energetic and physiological—can be deeply supportive, often bringing a greater sense of vitality, balance, and connection within the bodymind.

About the practitioner.

Lizzie first received Lomilomi in 2007 and was struck by its capacity to facilitate a deep and intimate connection with the inner self. This experience aligned with their ongoing interest in body–mind integration, and marked the beginning of their path toward learning and sharing the practice of Lomilomi.
Lizzie is a senior Lomilomi practitioner, having trained with and assisted Charlie Snow of the Aloha Institute since 2020. In 2025, they travelled to Hawai‘i to complete mastership training at Ho‘omana under Kumu Jeana Iwalani Nalaui. They bring this training into their practice alongside a background in psychophysical performance, including the development of therapeutic programs designed to support embodiment and reduce mind–body dualism.
Lizzie is genderqueer and has lived experience of dysphoria and dysmorphia, which informs a considered and compassionate approach to their work, with an emphasis on fostering self-acceptance and self-connection.
They are also the parent of two keiki (children) and three pōpoki (cats).
Lizzie’s Kumu (teacher), Charlie Snow, has studied Lomilomi and Hawaiian wisdom with Hawaiian teachers for over 20 years. For further information about Lomilomi, the lineage, and training pathways, please visit the Aloha Institute website: https://www.instituteoflivingaloha.com
